As a charitable organization approved and registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, your gift is 100% tax-deductible. You will be sent a receipt showing everything you need to claim this donation on your tax forms, including our tax ID number.
FALC is 100% volunteer-run. Other than some necessary administrative expenses, all our funds are dedicated to maintaining the Conservancy land, flora and fauna.
Maintenance involves contracting for invasive plant species eradication (3 treatments annually), mowing of walking trails, removal of dead trees on roads or threatening dwellings, and periodic inspections of the containment area and controlled burns of grasslands.
We are always looking for people with passion for nature, a love of the area, and ideally some expertise in native and invasive plants, forestry, and ecology education to help us fulfill our mission. Board membership is another way of serving.
